What are our aims?
The Business teachers at Raine's aim to:
- Raise achievement across their subject
- Be the best department in the school (!)
- To promote and embed a culture of independent learning
- Develop links with other schools, departments and businesses locally, nationally and globally
- Develop enterprising and enquiring minds
For the students we seek to engender:
- Knowledge and understanding of the business world
- A critical understanding of the external influences which may affect the operations within the business environment and economic activity
- ICT teaching which enables confident use of the various software
- Preparation for an active role in an international community
- An awareness of the changes within society and the world around us In the Business and ICT department the student voice is valued; it is encouraged and listened to.

100% portfolio based 3 or 6 units
