I am very pleased to introduce myself as the new Head teacher of Raine’s Foundation School. I took up my post on 6th January 2014 and it is a great privilege to be the Head teacher of a school with such a long tradition of supporting the young people in this part of East London.
Raines’s Foundation School, opened in 1719, is rightly proud of its long tradition of achievement within a Christian ethos. Raine’s is a Church of England School which welcomes pupils from all faiths and those with none. Our aim at Raine’s is to ensure all our pupils can be the best they can be every day.
I hope you will find this website a useful introduction to Raines Foundation School.
However there will be further improvements and updates to the website during the early part of 2014.
RFS has many positive qualities and I will be working with staff, pupils, parents and governors to improve the school even further in the years to come.
I am particularly happy to talk to parents of children in years 4 and 5 who may be considering Raine’s Foundation School as one of their secondary school choices in the future.
I have high expectations for our pupils and I am very focused on ensuring RFS enables all our pupils to achieve their potential, in all aspects of life. We at Raine’s work together to develop a set of values and ways of behaving that stem from and express the Christian foundation of the school.
